@sticklevich 2 minutes ago (edited) I'm on the fence! But not about the GLE450e, but rather the GLE450e vs my GLE300d! I love the thought of driving around town each day and using NO GAS. I'd only be using gas on longer trips. The problem is, i take a lot of longer trips, and my GLE300d (diesel) has the same 2.0 4 cylinder engine, but using diesel and my 24.4 gal tank, I get nearly 700 miles on a highway trip! I can actually travel from Idaho to California and AVOID buying high priced diesel in California, filling up in Nevada with prices similar to Idaho

The CLE 53 certainly looks better, but I don't know if it's $10k (plus the extra maintenance cost) better. I'll be more interested in what the CLE 63 has on offer, especially if they bring over the V8 hybrid system. from the AMG GT and S class.

Was thinking i'd be ordering a new 2025 until I saw a 2023 on the lot, an interior with less screen and more wood and soft touch and buttons is much more appealing to me

Just for others who are watching, two other ways to distinguish the 2025 G550 are the grill - four horizontal bars on the 2025 vs. three for the 2019-2024 - and the updated steering wheel design for the 25. Really like the enhancements Mercedes has made to the G-Class for 2025!

Great video! E53 looks sporty and aggressive and 450 more relaxed and elegant. I think the $10k add’l is a no brainer if you can afford it. Btw those e53 wheels are incredible.

Always like your side-by-side comparisons. On another note, some gripes about M-B current design language and styling...M-B needs to stop using the "tri-star" motif on the grille and taillights. I think it's tacky. Don't like the taillight "light bar"; it looks like it goes on an '80s or '90s Ford or some other car that I've seen with that particular design. And car manufacturers need to tone it down with digital dash boards. The rectangular dashboard looks odd and I think the "tacked-on" screens won't age well. I know that's what people want (or at least what the manufacturers think people want), but I think analog gauges are for the most part timeless and classy (not in a snooty way!). I love my R172 SLK55 with the dials and just the right amount of tech for my driving needs. It also has a real IWS analog dash clock rather than an image of one on the screen! Sometimes old tech is just timeless. Just my opinion!

Congrats on your wagon. The interior is usually MB-Tex upholstery. The material is actually made up of vinyl. Vs. leather.

That’s useful info. I fact am just going with a friend today to check out a E53. Was researching on the difference between E63/E63S and E53. I am an E Class fan. Had several and presently have the E350 blue efficiency version.

When you buy an S-Class you have to buy the newest one you can afford. These are status pieces after all, let's be honest about it. They are all great cars now so get the W223 even if it does look less Mercedes and even if it is more of a touch screen on wheels and even though Mercedes blatantly copied Tesla's stupid pop out door handles. W223 is the future and you don't want to look like you are not a forward thinker these days or ever!! Oh fuck it just buy a Tesla plaid and be one of those obnoxious "yeah but my Tesla" owners!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
